I'm a "Post Secret Sunday" slacker.

I know, I know, I haven't done any "Post Secret Sunday" blog posts in a few weeks. Sometimes, the days just fly by (just like the month of May....tomorrow is June! Where did the first 1/2 of the year go?) and sometimes I just can't get the words to come out right, so I don't post. But I'm posting this week. Go to Post Secret and take a look at the Sunday Secrets (or follow on Twitter and you'll get a few on Saturday too!) My favorite secret this week is the first one, Watch. I am such a people watcher....I love to go to the mall for shopping, but when I'm done, I get a pretzel and sit on a bench and just watch! Sometimes I judge clothes, jewelry etc (superficial things) but most of the time I watch and wonder "Where'd she get that...I'd like one" or even "Maybe I shouldn't be eating this pretzel...then I could look like her." I never thought about going to a museum to watch the people, but I might make that a summer goal! I also like the "Cool Kids" secret. It is sooo true. The kids I wanted to be like in High School are soooo NOT the kids I'd hang out with today. Granted, I AM a totally different person than I was in High School (or am I? I may have just been suppressing my inner "rebel") and I have made different choices than I thought I would, but I am pretty sure the "cool kids" I knew in High School, are just your average Utahan's with longings for the "good ol' days" of high school when they were on top. Not me....I am loving the present (I've got great friends and a great family!) and am looking forward to the future. What are YOUR favorite Sunday Secrets?

I'm a winner too!

Well, I always knew I was a winner in the Stuart Smalley kind of way (I have my daily affirmations for that), but I actually won a giveaway from Fabulous Fun Finds! I blogged about the See Kai Run shoe giveaway, and I won it! I won some Fabulous shoes for Lilly! I know I told you about the darling Lillian Grace boots, but I decided on the Sara sandals, so she could wear them now. Well, that AND she needs new sandals, and those are perfect for her! I am so excited, I can't wait to get them in the mail.....WHOO HOO for Fabulous Fun Finds!

I'm a Mom with random thoughts in her head.

I know I haven't posted anything worthwhile in a long time, but life gets in the way sometimes. There are a few random things floating around in this head of mine, and the sooner I get them out, the sooner I get on with life! -Why is it that I feel bad when I don't like specific kids? I shouldn't feel bad about that...kids are people too, and not everyone gets along with all people. My biggest problem right now is not liking certain kids, and not liking their parents more and more, as I get to know the kids better. I guess my random musing is that it kinda sucks and is cool at the same time that how our kids behave reflects greatly on us (I hope my kids behavior reflects well on me...but if not, I'll try harder, unlike other people I know). -I am almost 32 years old and I am just barely getting to the realization that no matter how "grown up" we claim to be, there is always going to be someone in our lives that thrives on drama, or gossip. Now I'm not saying I don't like gossip, but spreading stuff that isn't true just to feel important is so High School. And feeling better about yourself because someone else is in crisis is so Jr. High School. I can't wait to be as done with it as I can be. -Is it OK to de-friend someone on Facebook if you know they are going to act like my realization above? Or do you just suck it up and deal? -Why does Bailey's Chocolate Chip/Chunk Ice Cream and Chocolate Bread pudding taste better when it is brought home from MacCool's by my husband, than it does when I eat it at MacCool's? (OK...I know the answer to that question....just thinking about dessert last night..mmmm) -No matter how hard I try to get away from the rude people at the grocery store (lady on cell phone cut through parking spaces and almost hit Lilly) they always seem to be right there the whole time I'm in the store. UGH! -Joe makes better Iced Lattes than Emma....sorry Emma....I don't know what it is about Joe, but he rocks! OK...random thoughts done for the day....feel free to call me crazy, or put me in a loony bin (then I might be able to pee by myself!), or answer any of the above questions. Or not. Just random stuff. More to come, I am pretty damn sure!

Post Secret Sunday

I'm sorry I didn't get to my Post Secret post last week.....now that the new secrets are up, I'm just gonna skip last week, and move on to this week. If you Twitter...you'll know that yesterday was a Post Secret/Twitter funraiser for 1(800)SUICIDE. Frank said that if 1,000 people "re-tweeted" his Saturday Secrets, he would donate $1,000 to the 1(800)SUICIDE hotline. Yesterday, so many people "re-tweeted" his Tweet, he deicded to donate $2,000 to the cause. It was pretty cool to be able to do a simple thing to help a great cause. On to the Sunday Secrets: I could identify with a few of the secrets this week...the one about moving into an apartment by themselves just so they could poop in peace (most of you can understand that one, right?)...the one about standing on the podium being the best moment of their life (sometimes I wonder if I've had my best moment, or if there are many more yet to come)... the one about wishing the swine flu would come to someone's college made me remember the times right before finals when I was burned out and tired and was just barely making it through the day, mostly running on cruise control needing them to be over so I could have a break...and finally I thought the one about the kids laughing behind their mom's/dad's back was kind of sad since those of us that have kids gave something up at some point to make their lives better. What secret(s) did you identify with this week?
