I'm a friend wishing you a Happy New Year~!

Happy New Year! I hope your 2009 is better than your 2008 (even if 2008 was a great year, you all deserve an even greater year in 2009). I know it is a time for a fresh start, and a time to start making goals you want to meet and resolutions you want to keep throughout the next year. I have read quite a few blogs with unrealistic resolutions, and a few with tips on how to meet your goals or keep your resolutions. I'd like to hear how you keep the goals you make. Even if you don't make New Year's Resolutions, I am sure you make goals during different times of the year. How do you make sure you remember them? Do you print a huge copy of it then hang it on the fridge? Do you share your goal with other's that will be able to help you out? Do you blog about it then look back afterwards and realize you didn't even come close? Let me know how you keep your goals, and I might just do some research on tips for keeping your goals simple, or for remembering what those goals are. I may even share my goals for the upcoming year with you....just for a little moral support!

My goals I usually keep quiet so that I don't have to be acocuntable to anyone if I don't keep them. That's the spirit, right? Well, I've picked a couple this year, geared toward losing the nice little pouch I have aquired. I'm planning on using the tactic of visualizing the horrific picture of what is going to happen to my body if I keep eating and living the way I am now. To sum it up, I will be using the "scare" tactic this year.

Um, Steph......Somehow, you've "uninvited" me as a reader of your blog......

Anjie,

I'll let you know my goals when I FINALLY decide I'm important enough to be on the "list" so that I can make and keep goals.

I have sworn off resolutions, but I actually made one in high school that I kept. I was really shy when I was younger and I vowed to become more outgoing. The key to achieving the goal? JUST DO IT. Like the Nike catchphrase! You just have to do it no matter how hard or how embarrassing or how daunting. Good luck and I hope you have a wonderful 2009 as well!

I don't really do "New Year's" resolutions. I tend to set and accomplish goals throughout the year. I'm looking forward to running another half marathon in Atlanta on Thanksgiving in '09, which I'll have to plan for and train for following the birth of our baby in the next few weeks. I hope you will find some worthy goals... I find that I feel SO GOOD about myself when I accomplish a goal I have set for myself!! Happy New Year!

I never keep New Year resolutions, but I'm givin up sugar for Lent. I seem to do better when God is involved.

I don't really usually make goals, at least not "new year" goals. I have ongoing goals such as exercising regularly, eating healthy, that sort of thing. Then I have daily goals such as "I will be more patient with my 5 yr old", "I will not swear today", that sort of thing! Happy New Year!
