I've been trying so hard to make sure I have something semi-interesting to write about during NaBloPoMo, but it isn't easy! Yeah, I kind of copped out yesterday, with the whole "it's snowing in Utah" post, but I get a few "freebies" don't I? I don't have a lot to talk about today either. It is another lazy day in the Behunin house. Watching sappy movies and doing a little laundry. And reading Post Secret. Of course, reading Post Secret. I love that Frank posts a few extra secrets on TwitPics every Saturday. It gives me something to look forward to on Sundays. This week he posted these secrets: http://twitpic.com/pj7ze , and the judgemental people commenting really piss me off! (Read through them) I mean, who is anyone to judge what movies, books, or even songs can get someone through a tough time. Who cares if the whole world doesn't approve of the Twilight series, some of us like it, and enjoy reading the books and seeing the movies? Who cares if someone that doesn't normally enjoy that type of book or movie, gets something out of it that no one else can see? Post Secret is supposed to be a place where secrets can be shared without judgement. So to those that commented about the first Saturday Secret in a mean, judgemental way, screw you! (I know, I'm so articulate)

I'm going to try to keep writing "Post Secret Sunday"
I know I haven't written a Post Secret post in a while, but this summer has been busy, and I haven't had much of a chance to sit down and blog. I'm going to try harder, and even if I have to write my PS post on a Saturday night, I will still share my thoughts with you. This week's secrets can be found here. I like the first one about Random Acts of Kindness because you never know who you is affected by your actions. Most people will never tell you how the things you do affect them, whether they are bad or good. So be good! The one about the guy peeing in the sink is gross, and from now on I will be extra careful when I use a unisex bathroom in an office bulding. But I think the funniest/most disturbing is the Saturday Secret on Twitter. I would never do anything like that, but I think it is funny that the guys don't (well, didn't) know, but a little sad/disturbing that she does it. Check it out, and tell me what YOU think!

I'm a Mom not very interested in Post Secret this week.
It's not that I haven't read the secrets. I have. Three Times And it's not that I mind Frank doing secrets specific to Fathers on Father's Day. Totally his perrogative. It is just that I can't relate to any of them. I mean, who in their right minds would lie to someone about using birth crontrol and then have sex with them? No one I know (I hope). Maybe that is why it is a secret? But still check out the secrets on Post Secret this week. Maybe one will speak to you.

I'm a "Post Secret Sunday" slacker.
I know, I know, I haven't done any "Post Secret Sunday" blog posts in a few weeks. Sometimes, the days just fly by (just like the month of May....tomorrow is June! Where did the first 1/2 of the year go?) and sometimes I just can't get the words to come out right, so I don't post. But I'm posting this week. Go to Post Secret and take a look at the Sunday Secrets (or follow on Twitter and you'll get a few on Saturday too!) My favorite secret this week is the first one, Watch. I am such a people watcher....I love to go to the mall for shopping, but when I'm done, I get a pretzel and sit on a bench and just watch! Sometimes I judge clothes, jewelry etc (superficial things) but most of the time I watch and wonder "Where'd she get that...I'd like one" or even "Maybe I shouldn't be eating this pretzel...then I could look like her." I never thought about going to a museum to watch the people, but I might make that a summer goal! I also like the "Cool Kids" secret. It is sooo true. The kids I wanted to be like in High School are soooo NOT the kids I'd hang out with today. Granted, I AM a totally different person than I was in High School (or am I? I may have just been suppressing my inner "rebel") and I have made different choices than I thought I would, but I am pretty sure the "cool kids" I knew in High School, are just your average Utahan's with longings for the "good ol' days" of high school when they were on top. Not me....I am loving the present (I've got great friends and a great family!) and am looking forward to the future. What are YOUR favorite Sunday Secrets?

Post Secret Sunday
I'm sorry I didn't get to my Post Secret post last week.....now that the new secrets are up, I'm just gonna skip last week, and move on to this week. If you Twitter...you'll know that yesterday was a Post Secret/Twitter funraiser for 1(800)SUICIDE. Frank said that if 1,000 people "re-tweeted" his Saturday Secrets, he would donate $1,000 to the 1(800)SUICIDE hotline. Yesterday, so many people "re-tweeted" his Tweet, he deicded to donate $2,000 to the cause. It was pretty cool to be able to do a simple thing to help a great cause. On to the Sunday Secrets: I could identify with a few of the secrets this week...the one about moving into an apartment by themselves just so they could poop in peace (most of you can understand that one, right?)...the one about standing on the podium being the best moment of their life (sometimes I wonder if I've had my best moment, or if there are many more yet to come)... the one about wishing the swine flu would come to someone's college made me remember the times right before finals when I was burned out and tired and was just barely making it through the day, mostly running on cruise control needing them to be over so I could have a break...and finally I thought the one about the kids laughing behind their mom's/dad's back was kind of sad since those of us that have kids gave something up at some point to make their lives better. What secret(s) did you identify with this week?

Post Secret Monday....
hey...I warned you! Sometimes the Post Secret post will be on Mondays. So what did you think about yesterday's secrets? Good? Not so good? Awesome? My favorite secret is the the one with the closed fist and then when it flips over it says "I think it is beautiful that no matter how tight finances may get...charity survives." A lot of people I know are hurting because of the economy. We are lucky to still be OK, and I am reminded of that every time I hear about the homeless shelters and soup kitchens being full. I even gave Seth some "emergency money" to keep for when he sees someone downtown asking for a bit of a handout. He didn't have any $$ when a young family needed some for just 1 night in a hotel while waiting for their TB tests to come back to be accepted to the family shelter. It made me sad that I hadn't been prepared enough to make Seth prepared enough for something like that. What about your favorite??

Post Secret Sunday cont.
I took a more in depth look at the secrets on Post Secret for this week. And since this is my blog, I am choosing only 1/2 secret as my favorite. The first 1/2 of the Hero2 secret is one I like, especially since my son is so into superheroes, that is what I constantly hear about. "you don't need to slay dragons and seduce sorceresses to be a hero...sometimes you just have to do the right thing." I like it as a reminder to me to teach my kids that the greatest heroes are the ones that do the right thing, even when it is hard to do so.

Post Secret Sunday
Take a look at the secrets on Post Secret this week.....pretty good ones. If you are on Twitter, make sure you follow Post Secret to get a bonus secret or two on Saturdays. I quickly read through the Secrets this week, and I'm not sure which is my favorite. Share your favorite and I will read through them more carefully when I get a chance, and then I'll share mine! Oh, and Happy Easter!

I'm starting a new feature on my blog.
Post Secret Sunday. As I was preparing to go to the USU Post Secret Event this week, I found out how many of my friends (and friends of friends) read Post Secret every Sunday. I won't bore you with details of my trip (it was AWESOME!) but I will leave you with a quote from Frank Warren: "The World Needs To Hear Your Voice". Frank wrote that in a copy of the book he gave to an audience member, I'm sure hoping to give us the courage to share one of OUR secrets. This is how Post Secret Sunday will work on my blog. Read Post Secret every Sunday (or Saturday night depending on when it is posted) return here to read my post, then share your favorite Post Secret secret with me and my readers (there aren't very many). You can just tell us which one is your favorite, or you can elaborate if you'd like. No pressure! (You can even just read the comments and not share if you want!) My favorite Post Secret secret for Sunday April 4th: "I hope when I'm old, I do more than smoke and drink like my Grandma". Both of my Grandma's have passed away, and neither of them, smoked or drank, but I hope I do more with MY life when I get older and am done raising my kids. I want to travel, and take classes, and do more than just sit around waiting to die. What's YOUR favorite Post Secret secret this week?
