This week's You Capture challenge was to shoot something you haven't taken photos of before. My creative juices just weren't flowing. I didn't go many places that had things I haven't shot before. I always take pics of my kids, and my friend's kids, and my husband (although he usually doesn't let me get his face). So, I got a little cheesy with my interpretation of the challenge. My house is not the most immaculate home I've been to, because, well, I have 2 kids! And not that all of the mess if theirs, I just don't have the energy to keep the house spotless. SO, since I don't normally take pictures of my messy kitchen or SHARE pictures of my messy kitchen, I figured that qualifies as an OK You Capture.
Messy Kitchen Table (notice daughter's leftovers from lunch still there?)
Kitchen Sink- Ewww!
Different angle of the gross dishes
Messy counter top-this never gets fully uncluttered, never.
Go check out the other great You Capture shots on I Should Be Folding Laundry, while I attempt to clean up the messes in my kitchen. Attempt obviously being the key word.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who lets the kitchen and dining area get a little out of control at times! I have better (and more fun) things to do with my time!! :)
Anjie... your kitchen looks lived in!! That's a good thing! Yes... get a tattoo at 40. I was talking to a friend about getting one and another friend of hers showed me her toe tattoo- it was a ring and I knew right then I would do that one day! Everyone loves it and always comments on how cute it is!! Love your blog! Glad to find you!
That looks like my kitchen! Very brave of you to share this! At least I know it's not just me! :)
Heeeyyy! That looks like my kitchen too! Until tonight, at least, when I finally did all the dishes. Yay me! :)
LOL yes I bet you never thought you would publish photos of your messy kitchen. Now you need to show the afters!
Great idea, not something everyone would do. I wouldn't worry about the mess too much, it just happens.
I love the pictures!!! And, off to the left--that scrunched together stack of papers (read: bills) appear to be the exact same as the one I'm looking at over here--11 hours away. Huh! How BOUT that?!? ;)
I assume there are crumbs between each haphazardly torn envelope? And an old picture or two sticking to the honey-coated math worksheet from three weeks ago?
I feel so very close to you.
