I'm the Mom of a sneaky 2 1/2 year old.

I went to MOMS Night Out tonight, leaving my husband in charge of getting the kids to bed. It's never a problem, they are great when it comes to bedtime....there is usually no fight, or bargaining (knock on wood) so it goes fairly smoothly for him. Tonight was a little different! I got home about 9:00 and was bringing a catalog order in from the car (whoo hoo new blinds for the basement!) and as I was talking to Seth we hear a "Is that you Mommy?" We thought that it was coming from the direction of her bedroom. Next thing I know, there are little footsteps climbing the staircase! That little sneak, pretended to go to bed, the followed her Daddy downstairs and was playing in the basement for about an hour! She was soo cute and she hung her head so sweetly, we couldn't punish her, but just put her back to bed. Seth thought he heard something, but didn't check it out....she was one lucky little girl tonight and got to stay up later than usual!

That is so funny! I'm impressed that she could play quietly by herself for that long. My kids don't know how to be quiet. Even if they think they are being sneaky.

How sweet. Isabelle can play quietly sometimes, and sneaks out at rest time. It's always good to hear that other kids are sneaky sometimes too.

Here is my B&N tip, if you know what you want and don't have a lot of time, call ahead and they can hold the book for you. Then you can run in and pick it up. It's kind of sad though cuz then you don't get to look at all the books.

I had so much fun at MNO and got some awesome deals on clothes for the kids at Penny's afterwards! Lily is too cute! What a fun story! I would've taken pics and scrapbooked the whole event!
